SUNFLOWERS

I love the play of light on sunflowers, the contrast of blue and yellow, the rhythm of uneven leaves netted together, I love everything about sunflowers! And tried to capture that in this work. Think it worked out well and am going to play with this theme for as long as summer lasts in these flowers.

WATERMELON

Please click here to bid

After making a turn at Costco yesterday, I came home with one huge watermelon and therefor a little bit more time to paint it as it takes longer for my family to fly through a watermelon than say...cherries!
The summer is at it's peak at present and I love how the dappled light hits this scene.

BLUE SHUTTER

SOLD

A delightful painting inspired by my old blue shutters. The play of textures, colors, shadows and shapes, all working together to make what I think is one of my best paintings, if I may say so myself!

SOLD
A warm and special painting with beautiful reflections. Dappled light from under my big California Oak tree, just outside my kitchen casts lovely purple shadows in the morning. I like to capture the play of light on special objects I collect on my thrift store outings!

LEMONS ON BLUE

SOLD

This painting reflects what I see when I peek over my easel every day, which might give you a clue about where I paint.....in my lounge! Which, I must add, has the best light in the house and also makes me feel connected to my kids, animals and all that goes on while I'm happily painting away!

FRENCH GALVANIZED PITCHER

SOLD

The quaintest little French shop in our Valley, TANCREDI & MORGEN, lent me one of their antique French galvanized pitchers as inspiration and this is what I did with it. Though it is grey and not so grand, I think it came out just fine what with the bright fruit and flowers to boot!

VASE DE HYDRANGEA

Please purchase here

My latest painting in a series of truly French inspired works. I mainly want to depict the touch of sunlight on fresh fruit which reminds of a lazy morning in the South of France! Hence the grain sack dish cloth! Beautiful, French grays, blues and soft pinks would go well in any sophisticated setting.
This listing is for a 24" X 36" painting, painted on the sides so you won't need to frame if you choose not to.
