CHAMBRE BLEUE celebrates warm light, rest and all that is peaceful. I love the range of blues, old world greens that would add sophistication to any interior.
A very special setting of a view of the garden peaking through a sheer voile curtain. This is a larger painting of a previous study I have done before, and really love the way it has turned out.
This is a very special rendering of a couple of my mason jars filled with rose clippings from my garden. Love the way is brightens up my kitchen, house and canvas!
I am so besotted with this little purple vase that I bought from the thrift a year or two ago. And as I have mentioned in a previous post, I would eat purple if I could! Just something about the reflections of the light through this vase that brings this entire painting together.
CHATEAUX WINDOW is all about my taste in interiors..if only I could live in one! I tried to capture the light as well as possible by contrasting cooler purples with warmer yellows.
So, here's another beautiful afternoon sun coming through the kitchen window painting! Love the light through the old green vase, the same color as my Ouma's kitchen...and all of God's beautiful roses captured on my kitchen table!
The late afternoon came dashing through my kitchen window...just when I have to cook and can't just sit and enjoy!! So the other day, I managed to capture one of those fleeting moments, and I must say, I like the immediateness this work!
Watermelon must be one of the best parts of summer and nothing so perfectly beautiful to paint than a juicy piece of watermelon, let alone a medley of watermelon!
The light just happened to stream through the window and caught the golden urn with topiary above my fireplace when luckily my eye caught it in time to paint it! Love the simplicity, warmth and overall sense of peacefulness of this painting!
