Two dear friends came over for one of my home cooked meals the other night, and like a prince in shining armor, Rob arrived with a bunch of beautiful, long stemmed roses...just for me! And what with the late afternoon sun streaming through my sitting room, I just had to capture it for a lifetime!

I was drawn to this interior scene by the warm, strong light that passes through the French window and reflects on the floor, so inviting and begs one to sit and relax in the cushy recliner. A lovely study of a few minutes peace as the sun stretches its rays over a calm, quiet room.

This is a study of a few lemons from my garden against a lovely old delft vase I bought at a garage sale a while back. Nothing more charming than classic blue and yellow!

URN REFLECTIONS is a special commission for a client who loves my roses but wanted it in a silver urn. I really enjoyed doing this piece as I think the vertical lines on the urn anchor the soft, flowy roses so well.
